You know you need to raise more money to power your mission, but what’s next? Should you write a grant proposal, launch a fundraiser on Facebook, or redo your website?

No, not yet.

To raise money, you need to take a step back and get crystal clear about what you do, why it matters, and whom it helps. You also need to figure out your unique value proposition.  How is your nonprofit different from the thousands of other nonprofits in the sector?

To successfully fundraise, you also need someone (other than you!) to wake up every day thinking about how to inform and engage your donors.

Work with me to develop and execute your fundraising plan. This may include honing your case for support, building and prioritizing  your prospect list, and writing your fundraising appeals and grant proposals.

Maya Angelou quote

You’ve secured a new grant and connected with a new major donor.  Awesome! Now what?

One of the biggest challenges that nonprofits face is retaining their existing donors.

Work with me to develop a communications plan and create content that will engage your donors and make them proud to be part of your impact. This may include crafting your CEO updates, impact reports, and presentations.  It may also include preparing for and practicing your pitch.

Fundraising is hard, and leadership can be lonely.  Sometimes you need a sounding board to review your strategy, advance a funder relationship, or build your team.

I provide ongoing leadership and fundraising coaching to a few clients each year.

Angela Davis quote

With Jocelyn’s support, I began to love my work again.

“We lost four team members in less than a year, and those of us who remained were trying to keep our heads above water. Jocelyn took the time to get to know each team member’s interests, strengths, and goals. She helped us get through a very challenging time.

With Jocelyn’s support, I began to love my work again.

With her guidance, I have become a stronger writer, have streamlined our operational procedures, and have built a strong team. She brought a sense of joy to our work every day—all while making certain we were growing and learning as a team.”
